6th International Congress on Meningioma and Cerebral Venous System, September 3-7, 2008, Boston Massachusetts
Welcome

                                                                                             Preliminary Program Just Released!

It is a great pleasure to invite you and your family to the 6th International Congress on Meningiomas and Cerebral Venous System, which will take place from Sept 3-7, 2008, in Boston, USA. Boston is one of the most culturally significant cities in America and one of the most beautiful; it is home to Harvard University, MIT, Boston University, Northeastern University, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Symphony, the Museum of Fine Arts, and many other wonderful institutions.

The Program Planning Committee has developed an exceptional scientific program. Among the topics covered are surgical techniques for meningiomas of the skull base, cranial vault, and other sites; surgery for cavernous angiomas and arteriovenous malformations; the role and outcome of radiation for meningiomas and venous abnormalities; guidelines for surgery; new understandings of meningioma pathogenesis; and star wars techniques for treating these tumors noninvasively. The speakers are the best known and most accomplished in the world in dealing with these tumors. There will be plenary sessions, breakfast seminars, submitted papers and posters, and how-I do-it sessions. The format will be interactive and comprehensive; this will be the most wide-ranging and up-to-date programs on meningiomas ever presented.

There will also be a spectacular social program that will allow attendees to experience the history, architecture, nature, human and literary interest stories for which Boston is famous. Receptions at some of Boston's most beautiful venues will conclude each day of the conference, and spouses and family members can spend their time enjoying thematic tours ranging from art and baseball to Paul Revere's midnight ride and whale watching, to name just a few.

We are honored to welcome the 6th Congress to our city and hope you will join us.

Warmly,

Peter Black, MD, PhD, for The Program Planning Committee
