John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum

9:00 – 1:30 PM
$63 USD per person

Tour the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, which portrays the life, leadership, and legacy of President Kennedy, conveys his enthusiasm for politics and public service, and illustrates the nature of the office of the President. Experience Kennedy’s journey from the campaign trail through his presidency. The striking I.M Pei white and black modern building stands sentinel on Columbia Point near the mouth of the harbor. It’s interior is equally as dramatic with a 50 foot wall of glass overlooking the sea. Several rooms recreate key chambers of the White House during the Kennedy administration including the Oval Office. The combination of artifacts, displays and television footage evoke both the euphoria of “Camelot” and the numb horror of the assassination.

Enjoy a lunch at one of Boston’s favorite Irish pubs, the Black Rose. Voted one of America's top ten Irish establishments: this pub was established 1976. It is near the historic Faneuil Hall-Quincy market area of Boston. It's known for its convivial atmosphere, good food and live Irish entertainment.

Continue on to Cambridge and JFK's Alma Mater, Harvard University. A guide will elaborate on the history, incredible architecture and famous landmarks in the old yard. While at Harvard, check out the JFK School of Government, a lasting tribute to one of our country’s most dedicated leaders. This beautiful campus will enchant everyone with its charming brick architect and elegant style.

Historic Brick Facades: The Mansions of Beacon Hill and the State House

2:00 – 5:00 PM
$90 USD per person

Visit elegant townhouses, sophisticated city apartments and wonderful hidden gardens in this home tour of Beacon Hill. The homes reveal the personal style of each owner and many have been restored to their 18th – 19th century roots with furnishings and fabrics indicative of the period.

Tours include a narrated walk though the streets, some with cobblestones, and past important historical landmarks. Guides from the Beacon Hill Circle for Charity escort you on personal tours of 2 to 3 private homes that have been made available to their organization. The Beacon Hill Circle donates proceeds to recognized charities that support women and children in the City of Boston.

Continue on for a guided tour of the State House.
